Some details about the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner position:

  • Manage and build relationships with patients struggling with Depression, Anxiety, Affective disorder, Addiction, etc.

  • Office hours are 9am-6pm, Monday-Friday, no weekends
  • Holistic care- office has both clinician, therapists, and counselors (including Nutrition) so that each patient is allowed access to an entire team
  • Weekly team meetings- collaborative care is the goal
  • Virtual visits are available with therapy
  • 60-90 minute intake time and 30 minutes allotted for follow up appointments- plenty of time, no rush
  • Medication Delivery service depending on insurance
  • In house EMR with logistics and feedback added with each visit allows you to track patient improvements

Requirements for the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner position

  • Completed Masters training with evidence of diversity of Mental Health experience, both inpatient and outpatient Psychiatric Care with different populations and disease
  • Over one year of experience in Mental Health Practice is required
  • California license and DEA
  • Comfort working autonomously with Physician/Medical Director available by phone
  • Strong understanding of Psych medications, dosing, and side affects
  • Ability to work well with a team and develop leadership within the office
