Occupational Therapist opportunity near Green Bay, Wisconsin.  Join the team at a new state of the art Behavioral Health facility. This is an excellent opportunity for an OT that enjoys inpatient practice and being part of holistic care.

About the Occupational Therapy opportunity

• Inpatient Mental Health facility with high acuity admissions and/or debilitating Psychiatric illness

• Each team has Psychiatrist, PMHNP, LCSW, LPC, RN

• Supervise and work with Recreation Therapists

• Patient census varies but typically between 40-60

• See patients from Pediatrics to Geriatrics- 

• Many patients are high acuity and admitted for suicide and harmful tendencies

• OT consultations for individual treatment plans and activity modification

• Prepare and share patient progress reports on daily rounds

• Understanding of social skill development, art therapy, sports rehab and other modalities and treatment plans

• Organize, direct, and implement activity and rehabilitation programs for patients

• Coordinate outings and chaperone

Requirements of the Occupational Therapy opportunity

• Complete Master’s Program in Occupational Therapy and registration through NBCOT

• Complete required 6-month OT externship during training

• Over one year of experience in inpatient OT

• Experience in Behavioral or Mental Health or interest in care for patients with acute crisis mental health admissions

• Great communication with patients and clinical team required

• Teaching and training to current staff along with community support following discharge
