About the PA or NP Hospitalist opportunity

  • Team of 10 PA and NPs rotate shifts each week
  • Admissions and ER consults in
  • 12-hour shifts
  • Current rotation is 7 on then 7 off
  • Admit and follow patients for Arrythmias, CHF, COPD, Pulmonary embolus, Diabetes, Stroke, Seizure, and pneumonia
  • 900 bed Hospital
  • Team approach to care with PA students, residents, Fellows, and Attending Physicians all participating in daily patient Rounds
  • Follow laboratory results and diagnostics
  • Arrange discharge timing and orders

Requirements of the PA or NP Hospitalist opportunity

  • Board certification following completion of master’s degree
  • North Carolina State Medical License to practice
  • Focus on Internal Medicine during clinical training and/or clinical experience in chronic disease management in office or hospital setting
  • Strong critical thinking skills and interest in continued study as patient treatment requires
  • Technology savvy and experience using Epic EMR
  • Ability to organize schedule for night coverage
